Follow these simple steps to use the OPN-2001 Data Downloader:

1) Make sure the optousb driver package is installed.  This contains a USB-to-serial driver necessary for communication with the OPN-2001.
2) Connect the OPN-2001 to the computer running the Data Downloader.  Take note of the COM port it's attached to.
3) Run the Data Downloader.  When it opens, select the COM port you noted in Step 2, and hit the Open button.  If the Open button and COM port combo box are disabled, click the Close button, and then Select your COM port and click the Open button.
4) If you wish, you can click the Save button to navigate to a location to save all the downloaded files.  Otherwise, all the files will be located in the same directory as the Data Downloader.
5) Click the Start button.  The Data Downloader will now download and clear any data in attached OPN-2001.  After the beeps from the OPN-2001 have stopped, you can detach it.  Any OPN-2001s you attach from now on will have their data automatically downloaded into new files and cleared.
6) Click the Stop button to stop the downloading and clearing.

Note: The filename format of the downloaded data is as follows:

[device ID] [month]_[day]_[year] [hour (0-23)]_[minute]_[second].csv

The format of the data in each file is as follows:

[device ID],[barcode data],[date/time string]\r\n
